The ALS Ice Bucket Challenge has spread like wild-fire, reaching not only individuals and groups, but now the entire digital signage industry.
The Watchfire Signs team took the challenge earlier this week, each employee donated at least $10, raising $2,000 to the cause. The signage company is now nominating other signage companies – SloanLED, The Jordan Company and many other dealers – to take the challenge and donate money to the cause.
The challenge, to pour a bucket of ice-cold water over your head in addition to donating, helps fund the fight to cure and treat Lou Gehrig’s disease, a progressive neurodegenerative disease that attacks nerve cells and pathways in the brain and spinal cord. Every day, 15 new people are diagnosed with ALS, and are given only two to five years to live.
Help ALS keep this positive summer phenomenon going, by challenging other digital signage companies to take the challenge and donate to the cause!
