When Networld Media Group launched over 20 years ago, as founder and publisher of ATM Marketplace, few could have predicted that the small family-owned company would grow up to produce several annual events and publish nine B2B business sites — including Digital Signage Today, Kiosk Marketplace and Vending Times.

Embracing innovation, a dedication to nimbleness and being first are cornerstones of the company, so when the coronavirus forced us to cancel the 2020 Restaurant Franchising & Innovation Summit, just days before it was set to kick off, along with all other in-person events of the year, we quickly pivoted to virtual events.

However, we were able to persevere and flourish by launching a new event, the Self-Service Innovation Virtual Summit, which drew more than 3,000 attendees in December.

Fast forward to today, and we are ready for in-person events starting with the Restaurant Franchising & Innovation Summit on Aug. 10-12. We'll close out 2021 with the Self-Service Innovation Summit — now an in-person event — on Dec. 14-16 in Hollywood. Building on its success with virtual events, we'll will also host two new virtual events this year, #ElevateICX Virtual Symposium on July 15 and #QSRNexton Nov. 9.

The combination of in-person and virtual events presents an opportunity for significant growth for Networld's events business and has opened up the need to hire a director of audience development to grow event attendance.

"Our event growth is exploding," said Kathy Doyle, president and publisher of Networld Media Group. "We are looking to recruit a talented, highly-motivated individual that will appreciate working with a small, but powerful media company that focuses on delivering high quality results to their customers — both end-users and suppliers."

A full job description can be found here and interested candidates may send their resumes to Sandy Prendergast at sandyp@networldmediagroup.com.
