This year's Shanghai Digital Signage Show showcased some old faces in new places, as European and U.S. companies work to establish a foothold in the still growing Chinese digital signage market.

The second annual Shanghai Digital Signage Show in China featured mostly hardware component manufacturers and distributors, and attendees suggested the China market has some catching up to do on software and content.
Wayfinding signage, digital menu boards and tiled multiscreen displays were the order of the day, and companies well-known in western markets, like Harris Corp. and Scala, showed up to continue expanding their footprints in the Chinese DOOH space.
