Tampa Bay Performing Arts Center, Raleigh's Capital Area Transit, Disney among notable winners at The Digital Signage Show.

Harris Corp., Microspace Communications and Scala, along with many others, made off well this week as several of their projects were announced as winners of 2009 DIGI Awards. The awards ceremony was held Tuesday, Nov. 10 at The Digital Signage Show in New York City.
Professional Communications Systems (PCS) and Harris Corp. won the "Best Content, Creating the Ambient Experience" category for a project with the Tampa Bay Performing Arts Center. The venue installed a Harris InfoCaster digital signage solution that enables the compilation and display of high-definition video and program content on monitors around the Arts Center. PCS of Tampa managed the design, engineering, installation and maintenance of the complete visual display and digital messaging system.
Microspace accepted the DIGI for the "Best Deployment, Digital Signage and Mobile" for the first public deployment of broadcast mobile DTV in the United States this summer. The Capital Broadcasting project is a free, over-the-air broadcast of mobile digital television to the public. A joint effort of LG Electronics, WRAL, the CBC New Media Group and the City of Raleigh, N.C., the venture delivers live WRAL-DT broadcasts to Capital Area Transit (CAT) buses traveling around the capital city.
Scala accepted three awards on behalf of the Miele Insperience Centre, the Sprint Studio Store and the BC Children's Hospital for the Best Local Retail Rollout, Best National Retail Rollout and Interactive Technology Rollout, respectively.
