Numbat recently partnered with Broadsign for DOOH in the expansion of Numbat's European EV charging network, starting with Numbat's home country of Germany with rapid expansion planned by the end of 2024 across the Eurozone.
Uli Benker, head of marketing & DOOH at Numbat GmbH, and Franziska Schmitt, communications manager at Numbat GmbH, joined Digital Signage Today Editor Daniel Brown for an exclusive conversation about Numbat's EV charging network, which leverages storage capacity for grid stability and HPC for rapid charging.
Leveraging unique proprietary technology and a novel growth strategy, Numbat aims to expand rapidly by providing large storage capacity in its chargers, which allows them to be used in grids that otherwise would not be able to sustain a large influx of EV charging stations, Benker explained, which is not only helpful for energy grids and sustainability but also helps democratize EV charging for regions in emerging markets that suffer from grid fluctuations or instability.
Benker also shared how sustainability is a very pressing issue in German popular and business culture, as it is in many European nations, which is part of why the EV revolution is happening quite quickly in this region; Benker shared that in some nations like Germany, it will be impossible to sell or purchase gas-powered vehicles within about 15 years due to recently enacted government policies, another example of this speed of transition, which enjoys widespread popular support.
