As a global company, it was imperative Ciena find a technology that offered global reach and crystal clear product communication across all customer touch points. Cienas high-end products can be difficult to obtain and ship for use at industry tradeshows, particularly with international venues. With 40-plus shows worldwide per year, Cienas product shipping costs consumed a large portion of the events budget. This was money that Ciena knew could be better spent in other areas.
Our existing three-dimensional wire frames lacked the resolution we needed to visually showcase our products online, and they didnt have the ability to convey a marketing message, said Bill Rozier.
