X2O Media launches entry-level digital signage software
June 14, 2007
MONTREAL — Digital signage solution provider X2O Media announced the introduction of Xpresenter Xe, a new entry-level digital signage system aimed at single-screen operators. The product is based on the functionality of the full Xpresenter platform, but with a simpler interface and reduced network capabilities. "We're pleased to introduce the Xpresenter Xe as an affordable solution for those who want the functionality and high-quality output of the Xpresenter platform but don't need the complexity of a networked system," said David Wilkins, X2O Media president and chief executive. "It's ideal as a low-cost solution for point-and-click creation and near-instantaneous deployment of graphics in retail, restaurant, lobby, school and house of worship applications, or any other situation in which both high quality and simple point-to-point distribution are key requirements." Xpresenter Xe features a library of pre-built templates that eliminate the learning curve and significantly reduce the time it takes to create professional-looking digital signage applications. These templates can be customized easily and allow digital signage operators with little technical knowledge or artistic skill to launch broadcast-quality signage. Xpresenter Xe's templates can support live data feeds, crawling tickers, multiple video windows and overlapping objects. The software supports any type of display, including TV screens, computer monitors and LCD and plasma displays in both portrait and landscape orientations.
