World's largest casino adds digital signage

November 13, 2006

MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. — Foxwoods Resort Casino, the largest casino in the world with over 340,000 square feet of gaming space and more than 40,000 guests each day, has installed the RoninCast dynamic digital signage system into its B.B. King Theatre district.

Foxwoods, one of the most lucrative stops on the World Poker Tour, chose Wireless Ronin Technologies Inc., developer of the RoninCast software, to provide them a more flexible, secure and efficient advertising system to promote their nightlife and in-house promotions. Wireless Ronin Technologies provided Foxwoods with a full range of services to complete their initiative including the RoninCast software suite, all associated hardware and installation.

"The RoninCast signage program has provided us the technology we need to take our casino marketing programs to the next level", says Brian Charette, vice president of information services for Foxwoods, "Throughout this initial first phase, Wireless Ronin has delivered on all aspects of the project. Their technology gives us the flexibility and scalability we must have to incorporate digital signage into our environment."

By installing RoninCast, Foxwoods is now able to update its marketing message remotely from its Norwich, Conn. facility. This eliminates the time, labor and costs associated with its traditional signage program. This new technology allows Foxwoods to send content to the flat-panel displays from an off-site location and provides the ability to schedule content days, weeks, or months in advance. Updates are instantaneous so any last minute changes to event schedules can be corrected. Foxwoods is also able to advertise in a more dynamic and compelling format with the RoninCast technology, incorporating video, sound, and animation into its in-house marketing programs.
