Wiretap rebrands as Aware

April 5, 2019

Wiretap, a government compliance technology and digital signage provider, has rebranded as Aware. The company will offer a number of corporate communications and risk management solutions to its customers, according to a press release.

Aware will provide its digital signage platform to allow companies to display collaboration content for meetings, lobbies or events. It will also offer its risk management platform for compliance and managing human behavior risk within collaboration platforms such as Workplace by Facebook and Microsoft teams. The company's Spotlight platform will enable real-time metrics from collaboration tools.

"The Wiretap name and shield icon served its purpose of speaking to our security and compliance solution," Jeff Schumann, co-founder and CEO, Aware, said in the release. "However, at this point in our journey, 'Aware' better speaks to our overall vision, our spirit of collaboration, and is more relevant to our entire family of products — making it the natural next step for our story."
