MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. — Wireless Ronin Technologies Inc., a Minneapolis-based digital signage provider, announced that Thomson Reuters has contracted with Wireless Ronin to supply the hardware for their worldwide InfoPoint project in addition to RoninCast digital signage software, hosting and related services.
The InfoPoint program is a live news, information and photo digital signage display network designed for the out-of-home industry. Wireless Ronin was originally contracted to supply software, services and hosting for the Infopoint project. With the addition of the hardware component to the product mix, Wireless Ronin is now the primary supplier for the InfoPoint program. "We are looking forward to extending the relationship between Thomson Reuters and Wireless Ronin and using Wireless Ronin to supply our complete end-to-end solution," said Christopher Burtt, Global Digital Signage product manager at Thomson Reuters. The network is designed for public spaces, lobbies, waiting areas and walkways. Viewers get a comprehensive world news summary in just two and a half minutes with information and pictures displayed in real-time providing up-to-date news, weather and financial information. Wireless Ronin is currently hosting 182 Infopoint applications in 40 countries.
