Winsystems has unveiled its NET-429 line of rugged Ethernet switches for industrial networking environments. The switches can handle temperatures from -40 to 85-degrees Celsius, according to a press release.
Winsystems built the NET-429 line with power-over-Ethernet capabilities so users can deploy without a significant amount of wires. It also supports the IEEE 1588v2 one step Precision Time Protocol for data transmission.
"Our product development and engineering teams have long anticipated the disruptive impact accompanying the release of the TSN standard and the lack of suitable switches," Jack Smith, director of product development and engineering, Winsystems, said in the release. "So, we intentionally produced our first rugged switches to support clients in meeting their industrial networking requirements. And, of course, they work seamlessly with our industrial embedded computers to help customers develop complete industrial networking solutions."
