SANTA FE SPRINGS, Calif. — Westinghouse Digital announced the launch of its new Commercial Business Unit that will focus exclusively on commercial business development, digital signage and B2B LCD displays. Leading the charge of this newly created unit will be John Araki, vice president and general manager, Commercial Business Unit, at Westinghouse Digital Electronics.
"Westinghouse Digital is expanding from a consumer TV company to a fully integrated complete solution technology company," said Araki. "We will provide separate product offerings as an all-in-one solution for commercial and digital signage applications."
While Westinghouse Digital's primary business will remain in consumer electronics like LCD HDTVs, computer monitors and digital photo frames, the new Commercial Business Unit will focus and solely concentrate on commercial business development and partnerships, digital signage applications and B2B LCD displays.
Westinghouse Digital's PumpTop TV initiative with AdtekMedia, which allows for TV at the gas pump, will also be included in the Commercial Business Unit as well as other forthcoming commercial business and digital signage initiatives, partnership and products.
