September 13, 2010
Wegener Corp., which provides equipment for television, audio and data distribution networks worldwide, today announced receipt of an order from Microspace to expand the deployment of Wegener receiver equipment for a retail client.
Microspace uses Wegener equipment to process video broadcasts sent via satellite to digital signage displays within the client's stores across Europe. The new order will expand the deployment of receiver equipment to the client's locations within the United States.
Microspace provides reliable and cost-effective media-delivery services around the clock to more than 250,000 receiver sites via satellites and a variety of equipment providers. Using Wegener's Compel network control system, Microspace is able to support multiple clients with a variety of receive options for digital signage, television, radio or data broadcast applications, Wegener says.
"Our client wanted to showcase their brand in an intriguing manner while also creating a unique retail environment," said Greg Hurt, vice president of sales and marketing at Microspace. "Working with Wegener we were able to quickly select the right media receiver to fit this project's need and complete a successful launch."
