Watchfire Signs has created a scholarship to award students who develop content for the company's video scoreboards or displays on a campus. This Fired Up Watchfire Scholarship will offer $500 to a graduating high school senior, according to a press release.
Watchfire's video displays and schoolboards help boost advertising revenue for schools while also allowing students to design their own content.
"Students are playing an important role in creating content for digital scoreboards that raises the level of excitement at sporting events," Bob Ferrulo, sports marketing manager, Watchfire, said in the release. "From football hype videos and volleyball player profiles, to animations that encourage fans to get on their feet, the game time content created by today's students deserves to be recognized."
Students can submit applications until July 1. Watchfire will announce a winner on Aug. 1, according to the release.
