The National Building Museum in Washington, D.C. has extended its first AR exhibit, "Notre-Dame de Paris: The Augmented Exhibition" through Sunday, October 9, due to popular demand, according to a press release.

The 360 degree AR experience, sponsored by L'Oreal, covers 850 years of the building's history, including the recent fire and restoration efforts.

"We are thrilled to extend this premier exhibition at the National Building Museum, and believe it provides a new way to experience one of the world's most iconic buildings." Aileen Fuchs, president and executive director at the National Building Museum, said in the release. "Visitors will experience first-hand how technology can contribute to our understanding of buildings. The unique and immersive virtual nature of the exhibition, combined with the two public programs, provides a window into the ongoing restoration of this World Heritage site."
