Vistar Media, a provider of software for digital out-of-home promotion, has appointed Welby Chen as chief operating officer, according to a company press release.
Following an expansion into 13 countries, the acquisition of Sage+Archer in Europe and successful revenue quarters, Chen joins the Vistar executive team as a key player with experience scaling companies into global operations.
As COO, Chen will oversee Vistar's core revenue operations on both the demand and supply side, while driving and executing the company's growth strategy.
"Welby brings impressive experience to our C-Suite team including 13 years in the startup world where he focused on growing and scaling businesses," Michael Provenzano, CEO and co-founder at Vistar Media, said in the release. "We have big ambitions for Vistar's next chapter as a fully global company, and I look forward to partnering with him closely as we continue to be a trusted partner amid our expansion and deepening relationships with the world's largest out-of-home companies."
Chen has more than 20 years experience in advertising technology and sales across global markets, where he has focused on helping companies optimize their business models while also helping them grow.
"I can't think of a better time to join Vistar than amid the rapid acceleration of digital OOH as a necessary advertising medium for brands," Chen said in the release. "Vistar has positioned itself as a pioneer in the programmatic advertising space by completely redefining the programmatic DOOH category with innovative products and seamless solutions for brand marketers, advertisers and more."
Vistar Media was founded in 2012.
