Visix delivers voice-activated wayfinding

August 30, 2019

Visix Inc. has announced it is shipping its voice-user interface wayfinding solutions, which can directly respond to spoken commands and questions, according to a press release.

With VUI, customers can request maps, paths and directories on command. This can be especially useful for disabled customers and for reducing germs on hospital touchscreen displays.

"The VUI uses speech recognition to understand spoken commands and questions, and will be familiar to any consumer who uses VUI platforms such as Alexa, Siri and Google assistant," Sean Matthews, CEO and president, Visix, said in the release. "This unlocks tremendous opportunity to drive stronger engagement in businesses, on campuses, and within public spaces, while making the search-and-return process more convenient and efficient."
