Videotel's industrial DVD player receives UL approval for hospitals

Videotel's industrial DVD player, the HD2600 XD, has received approval from UL for healthcare use. The DVD player can now be linked to a hospital bed pillow speaker among other tasks, according to a press release.

The HD2600 XD is also designed to skip all menus and previews and simply play the main feature. This helps save time for hospital staff, according ot the release.

"The HD2600 XD can also be connected to MRI and CT scan machines so that movies can be played for patients during treatments or procedures," Lisa Schneider, vice president of marketing and sales at Videotel Digital, said in the release. "This helps keep patients calm with optimum ambiance given the trying circumstance they may find themselves in."
