VEON Group has launched the role of group diversity and inclusion officer and has named Ana de Kok-Reyes to the role effective January 1, 2023, according to a press release.

"Diversity and inclusion is in our DNA as we work across the markets in Eastern Europe, Central and Southern Asia," Kaan Terzioglu, CEO at VEON, said in the release. "Ana's appointment will reinforce our commitment to diversity and inclusion, which is paramount for VEON as an equal opportunities employer. Her exemplary work for VEON during the past seven years, her passion and leadership in creating diverse working environments across the Group, her international background of working in Mexico, USA and Netherlands, (along with) leading global teams across the world, make her an ideal fit for the inclusion role."

"I am thrilled with this opportunity to make a difference, join the efforts of our leaders and colleagues across VEON geographies and contribute to the matter that is close to my heart," de Kok-Reyes said in the release. "In my new role, I will focus on leveraging the immensely rich experience of our operating companies such as digital inclusion, supporting female entrepreneurship and fostering exchange between the countries in which we operate."
