CARACAS, Venezuela — Restaurant franchise Brasero Steak House has renewed its network operations contract with UnoLink for a second year. The restaurant thus expands on its private channel which combines entertainment and promotional content produced and updated daily by Unolink.
The channel, which went online in mid-2007, displays menu items daily with pictures and animations. Segments are produced by the design team at UnoLink. The promotional programming is complemented with relevant entertainment and information. Positive reaction from patrons and the results for the restaurant have pushed the expansion of this digital system to other restaurants of the same franchise.
This digital network is powered by Scala and runs uninterrupted hi-definition programming which include up-to-the-minute news, health tips, recipes, database-driven trivia questions, entertainment, movie trailers, sports scores and cultural calendar and public service campaigns for the environment.
UnoLink's content service is updated via Internet. It replaces the traditional TV- or DVD-based programming with customized and contextualized content which is fully controlled by the franchise. This allows daily updates and turns TV screens into an ideal and inexpensive promotional channel when not showing major sporting events.
Brasero Steak House also uses the digital channel to promote specials of the day with original footage created by UnoLink that have a direct sales impact.
