Vaddio now shipping USB 3.0 Active Optical Cable

Vaddio is now shipping its USB 3.0 Active Optical Cable. This Type C to Type A cable can extend products up to 98-feet, according to a press release.

The equipment is port-powered and does not require any repeater hubs or external power supply. It can also carry up to 5 Gbps for 4K videos at 30 Hertz.

The cable also features a fiber optic and copper compositive design to resist EMI/RFI interference. It is UL, CE and FCC certified and CMP plenum-rated, according to the release.
