Vaddio now shipping cameras with IP communication

Vaddio has integrated its RoboSHOT 30E PTZ Camera with NewTek NDI technology, which allows video systems to detect and communicate with one another over IP. End users can directly access the camera's pan/tilt//zoom and other controls through NDI, according to a press release.

NewTek's solution allows customers to share video and audio sources across a network, eliminating the need for cable runs, direct connections and other infrastructure, according to the release.

"By creating an NDI-capable camera based on our RoboSHOT Elite cameras, our customers will have the ability to create complete IP workflows for classrooms, houses of worship, medical simulation labs, and other applications requiring capture and presentation of high quality video content," Darrin Thurston, vice president of product development at Vaddio, said in the release. "NewTek's NDI technology complements Vaddio’s product philosophy of being simple to install and operate for our customers."
