Userful releases video wall controller for low cost PCs

December 12, 2016

Userful Corp. has launched a new video wall controller software that can allow an HP Prodesk PC to run nine screens for a video wall. The solution is designed to be more affordable than other video wall solutions, with the PC costing $565, according to a press release.

The company uses an AV-over-IP approach to make it easier for companies to upgrade their video walls. Companies can start with the basic HP PC and can upgrade to more expensive machines as they deploy additional video walls.

"With this new Userful release, we've cut the cost of the PC required to run Userful by over 60 percent, that's a huge savings," Timothy Griffin, founder and CTO of Userful, said in the release. "People looking for ultra low cost video walls now have access to a high-performing solution from Userful, and can take a full advantage of the features that Userful brings -- 4k content, preset zone support, artistic layouts etc. -- using a $565 PC."
