UPMC in deal with Florida kiosk-maker

May 18, 2005

Pittsburgh Business Times: Maitland, Fla.-based Galvanon Inc. has sold its MediKiosk and Enterprise WayFinding solutions to the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center.

Financial terms were not disclosed.

Galvanon makes self-service medical kiosks for patients at hospitals, medical offices, outpatient surgery centers, clinics, medical labs and urgent care centers.

The kiosks are used by patients to check in for appointments, verify registration information, make co-payments, sign consent forms and get a map to find their way around in the medical facility. They also can go online from a remote site to fill out medical forms in advance or access their own medical records.
