University of Kansas adds LED displays to lockers

February 23, 2017

The University of Kansas Athletics has upgraded the backlit nameplates in each locker with a narrow pixel pitch LED display. The department teamed up with Neoti to provide the displays, according to a press release.

The display consists of multiple Coleder Ace Block 1.56-mm panels linked above 13 different locker sections. The display is 334.6 feet wide and has a pixel density of more than 14 million pixels. Neoti crafted a custom bracket system to install the display, and it used servers with 12 4K compatible outputs, according to a release.

The company also trained Kansas University staff on how to produce content and remotely manage the content on lockers, according to the release.
