Twitter integrated into digital signage for dental practices

August 31, 2012

Eden Prairie, Minn.-based Digital Clinic has integrated Twitter for its digital signage system for dental practices, according to a company release. This new Twitter integration is aimed at engaging patients in the waiting room and building a stronger network across social media, the company said.

The waiting room digital signage system gathers Tweets to highlight positive social media comments live on-screen to patients as they wait. The goal is to reinforce a positive reputation for the dental practice, encourage patients to connect on social media, as well as Tweet their own compliments about their service.

Denver dentist Dr. Brett Kessler said in the announcement his practice has already experienced promising results and received great feedback from his patients about Digital Clinic.

"We've been desperately searching for ways in which we can describe the uniqueness of our practice," he said. "Digital Clinic has been a great tool to drive our patients and prospective patients to our Twitter site."

As Digital Clinic already leverages content and reviews from Facebook and Demandforce, the new Twitter integration takes engagement deeper and further promotes the practice's online and social presence. For dental practices, this public conversation helps generate valuable word of mouth buzz that can cultivate new business.
