Tripp Lite launches Cat6/6a cables for power over Ethernet

Tripp Lite, a connectivity solutions provider, has launched its Cat6/6a cable series for power over Ethernet applications. The series supports up to 100 Watts of power deliver without exceeding its temperature rating. These cables can also connect LAN equipment with up to Gbps network speed, according to a press release.

"CMR-LP cable is certified specifically for PoE applications," David Posner, director of product marketing, connectivity, Tripp Lite, said in the release. "This is the standard organizations should be relying on – both for current PoE needs and to prepare their infrastructure for expanded PoE adoption in the future."

Other features include:

• F/UTP shielding technology for EMI/RFI line noise filtering and heat dissipation.
• Comes in lengths up to 50-feet.
• 23-gauge cable design for more efficient power delivery.
• Features a lifetime limited warranty.
