Tripp Lite launces 8K-ready HDMI cables

Tripp Lite has launched its Ultra High-Speed 8K HDMI cables, which can deliver 7680 x 4320 at 60 Hertz and bandwidth up to 48 GB per second. It supports all HDMI 2.1 standards and can also support 4K content, according to a press release.

Other features include:

  • Supports Auto Low Latency Mode , Variable Refresh Rate, Quick Media Switching and Quick Frame Transport.
  • Dynamic HDR and 4:4:4 chroma subsampling.
  • eARC for surround sound without compression.
  • Reduced latency.

"As video technology ultimately moves toward 8K, there will be an increased demand for HDMI cables that can meet the bandwidth requirements of the new equipment," David Posner, VP of product marketing, connectivity, Tripp Lite, said in the release. "Customers can prepare for the transition now by incorporating 8K cables into home theater systems, gaming setups and professional digital signage installations."
