Tripp Lite intros 4K-compatible HDMI over Cat6 solutions

Tripp Lite has introduced HDMI over Cat6 extender kits that support 4K resolution at 60 Hertz. The B127-1A1-CH extender kit can send signals over a Cat6 cable via USB-C port to an HDMI display more than 125 feet away, while the B320-series HDMI presentation switcher and switcher/extender kit can manage video output from up to four source devices, according to a press release.

The B127's transmitter can support an HDMI monitor and it features a USB-C Power Delivery port for charging a connected source device.

The B320-series switcher, depending on the model, can have four HDMI ports or four different video inputs. It also comes with an IR remote or an RS-232 serial controller.

"Conveniently managing video is essential in presentation spaces," David Posner, VP of product marketing, connectivity, said in the release. "Whether it's simply extending 4K signals or switching between sources, Tripp Lite over Cat6 solutions bring flexibility to installations. The source devices can be located farther away from the display, and the receivers don't need a power outlet."
