TouchSystems rolls out new multitouch display

TouchSystems announced the addition of a 46-inch multitouch solution integrated with an infra-red touch technology. The display, which is based on NEC's X462S, can be purchased as a dual-touch or as a six-point multitouch solution.

The X 46 features LED-backlighting, a full HD LCD display, built-in speakers, a carbon footprint meter, a scheduler, and internal temperature sensors with self-diagnosis tools and fans.

"With increased demand for multitouch solutions from our integrators who work with retail stores, restaurants, and hotels, we are developing and creating as many multitouch screens as possible," said Carol Nordin, president of TouchSystems. "Our X Series is an obvious candidate for multitouch as it already is one of our more popular lines because of the displays' lowered energy consumption, slim bezels, and ease of installation and maintenance."
