TouchSystems debuts 55-inch multi-touch display

September 22, 2016

TouchSystems, a touch display and digital signage manufacturer, is launching a 55-inch P5530P-3 touch display. The display is designed with a 10-point, multi-touch projected capacitive touch sensor, according to a press release.

The P5530P-3 uses NEC's LED edge-lighting technology to consume 30 percent less power than other displays. It is also 50 percent lighter and thinner than comparable models, according to the release.

The display is also designed with:

  • Open Pluggable Specification compatibility for digital signage installations
  • Bezel free chassis
  • Internal temperature sensors
  • A three-year parts and labor warranty

The display is designed specifically for use in high traffic environments such as retail, kiosks, healthcare and others.

"Designed for 24-7 operation, this is the premier solution for multi-touch interactivity in the 55-inch class," Carol Nordin, president of TouchSystems, said in the release. "From aesthetics to performance, this display exceeds expectations."
