Toshiba intros TD-U UltraSeries 4K UHD digital signage displays

Toshiba's Digital Products Division this week announced the availability of the TD-U UltraSeries, the company's next step in display resolution, screen size and customer impact, designed specifically for the commercial market and including super-large 85-inch and 98-inch screen sizes.

Toshiba's Digital Products Division, a division of Toshiba America Information Systems Inc., this week announced the availability of the TD-U UltraSeries, the company's next step in display resolution, screen size and customer impact. Toshiba has designed the UltraSeries specifically for the commercial market, and it includes the super-large 85-inch and 98-inch screen sizes, the company said.

"The introduction of the TD-U UltraSeries marks another major step in Toshiba's ongoing commitment to commercial digital display solutions," said Scott Ramirez, vice president of product marketing and development, Toshiba America Information Systems Inc., Digital Products Division. "Toshiba is focusing on true commercial display with robust quality, full feature and connectivity sets, strong warranty and unwavering support to ensure that we meet all of the needs of this demanding market."

According to Toshiba, the TD-U UltraSeries models include the key features that commercial customers need in a high quality digital display, with 24/7 operation, landscape and portrait orientation, 3,840 x 2,160 4K Ultra HD resolution, 120Hz panel refresh rate and 500 Nits brightness. Additionally, the brand's Quad Screen Mode can segment the screen into four separate 1080p images, allowing the set to act as an "all-in-one video wall" without an external switcher, the company said.

The TD-U UltraSeries is housed in a durable metal cabinet with rear carry handles, has full connectivity with 4 HDMI Inputs, DisplayPort, VGA, Audio In/Out, RS232C, LAN and IR Port, and also offers input priority for failover support.

As with Toshiba's other commercial displays, the TD-U UltraSeries comes with Toshiba's three-year limited commercial warranty and Advanced Replacement Program. Toshiba showcased itsdigital display lineup at Digital Signage Expo this week in Las Vegas. The TD-U UltraSeries is available now in the 85-inch size for $15,999.99, and the 98-inch model will be shipping soon, the company said.
