Toppan Printing uses E Ink Advanced Color ePaper display for POP display

February 26, 2019

Toppan Printing Co., based in Tokyo, has used E Ink's Advanced Color ePaper display to develop a point-of-purchase sign. The ACeP display can showcase more than 32,000 colors to act as an alternative to a traditional paper display, according to a press release.

The POP display uses a content management system so users can update it via smart phone or PC. The ACeP offers paper-like readability under most lighting conditions, and it provides eight primary colors using a proprietary four pigment microencapsulated electronic ink, according to the release.

"We are pleased to jointly test the potential of full-color ACeP from E Ink, and look forward to the collaboration toward a digital POP product that contributes to solving the efficiency and waste challenges in the retail sector," Heeday Danjo, general manager, Toppan Printing, said in the release.
