Tokyo company develops 'see-through' LCD screen

Newlaunches.com: Active Inc., a Tokyo based company that makes optical components, has developed a new "composite LCD display" that is see-through. The company has been testing the use of liquid crystal optical film as a substitute for traditional LCD backlights, thus developing a screen that appears transparent from the back when powered on.
