Thomson to pay $285 million for PRN

Aka.tv: Hot on the heels of 3M's agreement to buy Mercury Online Solutions, French media firm Thomson announced that it will acquire U.S. retail-media network operator PRN for approximately $285 million in cash. Privately held PRN, which recently cancelled a planned IPO, runs networks in 6,000 locations across the U.S., serving major clients such as Wal-Mart, Best Buy and Costco.
