The Display Shield digital signage enclosures on display at IAAPA 2014

PEC to show outdoor digital signage solutions and give away a The Display Shield Weatherproof Display Enclosure at the show.

November 17, 2014

Protective Enclosures Company will be showcasing its The Display Shield outdoor digital signage display and TV enclosures as well as running a The Display Shield giveaway from Nov. 18-21 at the IAAPA trade show in Orlando, Florida, the company announced. The Orlando-based company is partnered with Philips Signage Solutions and manufactures secure weatherproof TV enclosures and outdoor digital signage display solutions.

IAAPA is the largest international trade show for the attractions industry and boasts a roster of attendees from water parks, amusement parks, theme parks, family entertainment centers, casinos, zoos, aquariums, resorts, party rentals and themed entertainment venues, the company said.

PEC's water-resistant signage cases have been snagged for use in many amusement parks including Six Flags, Coney Island, Sahara Sam's Water Park, Dollywood, Zoomers Amusement Park and Palace Playland, the company said.

The Display Shield is a weatherproof, tamper-resistant, protective enclosure for flatpanel displays and digital signage designed and built specifically for high-traffic public spaces. It features a shield made of ultra-clear Lexan polycarbonate, the same material used to produce bulletproof glass, and back housing composed of long lasting HMWPE outdoor plastics. The Display Shield also has a thermostatically controlled filtered fan system coupled with two louvered vents which regulate the temperature of the enclosed display. The company will be giving away a free enclosure to one of its booth visitors at the show. PEC will be inviting attendees to help demonstrate The Display Shield's water-resistance in a water gun enclosure spray down. PEC President Jarad King jokingly said in the announcement, "Come wash down our enclosures at the IAAPA show, you may even get a free The Display Shield out of it."
