MANHATTAN BEACH, Calif. — Flyte Systems, a provider of airline digital signage content for the hospitality industry, has announced it has installed its FlyteBoard real-time airline flight information screen and FlytePass boarding pass kiosk at The Belamar luxury boutique hotel in Manhattan Beach, California.
The Belamar recently underwent extensive renovations to its restaurant, lobby, meeting and business center areas and reopened them in March with state-of-the-art, high-end, high-tech capabilities. "We were in Boston at a National Business Travel Association trade show when we first saw FlyteBoard in the hotel where we were staying," said Belamar general manager Tom Beedon. "We immediately thought that it would be a perfect addition to our new business center."
The FlyteBoard displays live departing flight status information from LAX on two 23-inch Apple monitors mounted on the wall in the fully equipped Business Center located inside the hotel's Meeting Center. The Belamar also placed a FlytePass boarding pass printing station next to the monitors for greater guest convenience.
The Bellamar's Meeting Center has five boardrooms, which is unique to the South Bay region of Los Angeles. In designing the center, Beedon notes the property conducted a series of focus groups to ensure their improvements were on target for the business community.
The addition of Flyte's products has been an integral part of the property's marketing to the business sector.
"Live airline information is definitely a value-add for our guests," Beedon said. "They love it because they do not have to take time to boot up their laptop to check their flight status online. It makes traveling easier and convenient."
