Technologic Systems integrates Ubuntu Core with Computer on Module

Technologic Systems Inc. has partnered with Canonical to integrate its Ubuntu Core with Canonical's TS-4900 Compute Module. The companies believe this product will deliver IoT solutions, HD digital signage and more, according to a press release.

The TS-4900 is designed for embedded system applications such as industrial IoT gateways. Ubuntu Core is able to provide networking and protocol support for the module. Ubunto Core also offers a platform to update and maintain IoT devices.

The TS-4900 is also designed with:

• 2 GB DDR3 RAM;
• Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.0;
• Supports USB, SATA II, GB Ethernet and PCIe Express; and
• Can operate in a temperature range of -40 degrees Celsius to 85 degrees Celsius.
