TATA Indicom to bring digital signage to India

MUMBAI, India — TATA Indicom VSAT Services (TIVS) announced an alliance with Digifour Technologies (Digi4), reseller of Scala digital signage solutions. The companies will market their new offering in India under the brand TNET Signage.

The alliance will offer tailored digital signage solutions in verticals such as banking, retail, entertainment, public facilities, education, health and hospitality. TIVS intends to connect 1,000 screens across the country on the TNET Signage platform by the end of the current fiscal year and 4,000 screens by December 2008.

TIVS is the VSAT service provider of TATA Indicom. It started its operations in December 1995, primarily to provide wireless broadband connectivity to TATA Group companies. Upon receipt of a public services license, TIVS made a foray into the commercial market in 2003.
