Syntiant Corp., a deep learning chip technology company, announced it has shipped more than 10 million of its NDP100 and NDP101 Neural Decision Processors to customers. These devices provide AI functionality to battery-powered devices with no cloud connection, according to a press release.
Designed for use with edge devices, the NDP100 processor specifically can run voice, audio and sensor applications, while only consuming 140 microwatts of energy with low latency, according to the release.
"Syntiant's innovative technology is helping drive the growing adoption of hands-free, voice control in edge devices," Kurt Busch, CEO, Syntiant, said in the release. "We're excited about the future, and we look forward to accelerating our production ramp in 2021 as consumers across the world increasingly rely on deep learning to bridge the gap between people and technology."
