May 5, 2008
MADISON, Ala. — Southern Vision Systems Inc (SVSi) has announced the first shipments of its networked HD audio-visual Ethernet transceivers. The voLANte system requires just plugging the transmitter into a digital video interface (DVI) source to play digital video on an unlimited number of screens. Multiple streams of HD movies or computer graphics can be transmitted for pro A/V and digital signage applications.
"The approach that voLANte has taken to implementation of a versatile digital signage installation was received with great enthusiasm by attendees at the Digital Signage Expo," said Bob Sharp, SVSi's director of sales and marketing. "The voLANte product line has the capacity to expand with the digital signage market trend towards higher resolutions while maintaining audio and visual quality."
