SpinnXS is a rotating digital billboard designed to catch the eye through physical movement and 360-degree visibility.
The spinnXS unit has thin, double-sided displays in portrait mode, built into a clear housing. The first version of the product has LCD displays up to 32 inches, and is used in retail, hospitality, convention centers, exhibition stands, shopping malls, airports and other indoor environments.
The design can be optimized to a brand or corporate style by using variable forms, colors and prints.
The introduction of spinnXS took place at the following international events:
• ISE, Integrated Systems Europe, January 2008 in Amsterdam • Screen Expo, February 2008 in London • EuroShop 2008, February 2008 in Dusseldorf, Germany • Passenger Terminal Expo 2008, April 2008, Amsterdam • Digital Signage Expo, May 2008 in Essen, Germany
SpinnXS also is endorsed by POPAI, the international branch organization for point-of-purchase communication. At EuroShop and the Digital Signage Expo, POPAI used it as a showcase of effective media usage.
"We are excited with the overwhelming response and recommendations," said Opalio's chief executive Rik Wagter. "The fact that POPAI uses spinnXS is a great acknowledgement: These people really understand effective market communication."
Gerard Bucas, chief executive of Scala, was early to spot Opalio several years ago and has used the product in tradeshows. He was thrilled to see spinnXS now finally in Scala-colors.
Bucas said, "I think spinnXS is a great idea and very well executed."
