Sony has unveiled its 98-inch high-brightness BZ53L Pro BRAVIA display, which includes Sony's Deep Black Non-Glare Coating technology, according to a press release.
Expected to be available in Canada and the U.S. in June, the model includes a 4K 120 Hz panel that leverages the XR TRILUMINOS Pro effect for color range and offers 780 nits for high brightness. The system uses Full Array Local Dimming (FALD) backlight technology and supports Apple Air Play, Google Chromecast, and Google Meet, along with the BRAVIA Signage Free (BSF) digital signage player app.
The display has been engineered to weigh nearly 44 pounds less than the 100-inch BZ40J, with its packaging weighing nearly 83.8 pounds lighter, and sustainability features include the use of recycled plastic materials and packaging in addition to the Power Saving Mode.
"For decades, our Pro BRAVIA displays have assisted our customers and their viewers and continue to evolve based on their needs and demands," Rich Ventura, vice president, professional display solutions, Sony Electronics, said in the release. "After recently debuting a series featuring our Deep Black Non-Glare Coating, customers have responded to the enhanced visibility, minimal reflection, and overall effectiveness of the technology. With the addition of a 98-inch option, the Deep Black Non-Glare Coating series has a wide and inclusive range of sizes, so users won't be limited in their installations due to natural lighting, space, or other factors."
Sony Electronics offers a full line of commercial flat panel displays.
