LAKE FOREST, Calif. — Solar Technologies has introduced a product line of higher-resolution thin-film-transistor liquid-crystal display (TFT LCD) kit solutions, dubbed "IntraKits," that focus on smaller-sized and resized LCD modules. IntraKits are currently offered in sizes ranging from three inches to 17 inches and are available with NTSC, VGA, DVI, S-Video and RGB inputs, supporting resolutions up to 1920x1200.
IntraKits are designed to meet increasing demand for high-resolution displays in various industries and environments for embedded applications, including medical equipment, industrial applications, flight simulators, digital signage, kiosks, and casinos and gaming devices. According to company information, the kits enable integrators to drive the higher-resolution LCD modules directly from the PC, which can help reduce the overall cost, increase flexibility in design and shorten time to market. The IntraKits also include auto scaling, optional touchscreen and anti-reflective coating for sunlight readability.
"The IntraKit family of products has evolved as an answer to meet customer demands," said Solar Technologies sales and engineering manager Tris Mahaffay. "Although we still carry a full line of lower-resolution kits, system design engineers and integrators that we work with have increasingly been asking for a higher-resolution LCD kit solution to meet the current application-specific demands of their customers."
