Health and safety expert Michael Russo has joined SNA Displays and will be based out of the company's New York City headquarters.
Russo previously worked as the director of safety and quality at Safeway Construction Enterprises and spent many years at National Grid, according to a press release.
"I was drawn to SNA Displays because of the spectacular work the company does," Russo, who will be reporting to SNA Displays' vice president of operations, Anne St. Mauro, said in the release. "I've never seen anything like it before, and I look forward to managing the SNA team's comprehensive health and safety program."
Russo supervised the 2001 decommissioning and demolition of the Maspeth Gas Holders, a controlled demolition of 400-foot-tall natural gas towers in Brooklyn.
"Michael's extensive career and impressive accomplishments will be a huge asset to SNA Displays' operations team," St. Mauro said in the release. "Safety is a priority in all areas of our work, and his input will ensure workplace safety and compliance are unparalleled."
