Signagelive lands 5K-screen DOOH network

January 22, 2013

Cloud-based digital signage software solution provider Signagelive recently announced that Life Channel Network, which it said is "the largest DOOH network in all of Europe," is moving its 5,000-device digital out-of-home network business to Signagelive.

In the announcement email from Signagelive, Life Channel Network CEO Phil Austin said that his company has been investigating digital signage solutions over the last year and has been "massively impressed with a number of solutions with Signagelive ... being clearly the leaders in terms of fulfilling our own unique needs."

"The Life Channel Group however had rather unique requirements not least the soon to be announced integration of ActivPlay and a global online media booking system," he said. "In this regard our engineers concluded that Signagelive represented the best way forward for our group. There were of course many other reasons why we chose Signagelive and look forward to working with them over the coming years as our Education network continues to grow."

Signagelive CEO Jason Cremins said his company is "thrilled" to snag The Life Channel as a customer.

"This surely represents a growing shift from traditional client/server self-hosted legacy digital signage solutions to a managed service offering," he said. "Providing digital signage as a service removes the need for customers to purchase, install and maintain expensive and complex technology, allow[ing] them to focus on their core business activities."
