Shuttle powers HD displays with mini PCs

August 25, 2016

Shuttle Computer, a mini-computer designer, has teamed up with Matrox Graphics Inc to integrate a multidisplay graphics card with a mini PC. The Matrox C900 graphics card is designed to power nine 1920 x 1200 displays at 60 hertz, according to a press release.

With this integration, users can power a multitude of video walls, servers, network video recorders and other equipment at low power. Additionally, businesses can use the system to craft 3x3 video walls for digital signage or control walls, according to Carolina Inoyan, business development manager at Matrox Graphics.

The Shuttle XPC cube R81710M mini PC is designed with:

  • 64GB of DDR4 memory;
  • support for sixth generation Intel core processors; and
  • PCI-E x 16, PCI-E x 4, M.2 and Mini PCIe interfaces to be used alongside the Matrox C900 graphics card.

 "This bundle is perfect for installations in retail, corporate, entertainment, and hospitality environments as well as video walls in security, process control and transportation," Tom Seiffert, head of marketing at Shuttle Computer, said in the release.

The solution is available now through the Shuttle Systems Configurator, with prices starting at $3,591.77 (3,189 euros).
