Sharp NEC releases upgraded cinema projector

Sharp NEC Display Solutions, a projector and display producer, has released the NC2403ML laser projector, an upgraded model in its digital cinema projection series, according to a company press release.

With an RB laser module and laser light source lifespan of up to 50,000 hours, the projector is being marketed for theaters with medium and large screens. The NC2403ML is also suitable for museum, House of Worship, and higher education applications, according to the release.

The projector features interchangeable laser light sources and a laser module can be purchased separately and switched between projector heads for different sized auditoriums.

"The introduction of the NC2403ML broadens our lineup of next generation, modular laser projectors," Richard McPherson, senior product manager at Sharp NEC Display Solutions, said in the release. "Projectors with this replaceable laser module, such as this model and our recently announced NC1803ML, are low-maintenance and provide exhibitors with substantial protection on their investment."
