Sharp NEC launches docking monitor

Sharp NEC Display Solutions has launched the MultiSync EA242WU, a 24-inch docking monitor designed to minimize cable use in workspaces, according to a press release.

The monitor combines display, audio and charging in a single USB-C connection and includes an embedded LAN as electronics manufacturers shift away from including RJ-45 connections in computer designs in favor of USB-C connections, a process that has increased since EU regulations on USB-C connections.

The EA242WU has display port connectivity and supports daisy-chaining displays, as well as flicker-free and blue light control features, and it functions in landscape and portrait mode.
