The Seattle Department of Transportation has selected OOH media and technology company Intersection to be the first external contractor to manage and sell advertising on the Seattle Streetcar network, which includes eight streetcar vehicles and 22 transit shelters, according to a press release.
The five year contract includes two one-year options and will expand Intersection's operations in Seattle, which already included Sound Transit and King County Metro contracts.
"The Seattle market has been a major focus of ours in recent years and we're so thrilled to be chosen as the advertising partner of choice for the Seattle Streetcar System," Scott Goldsmith, President and COO at Intersection, said in the release. "The Streetcar will undoubtedly strengthen our market offerings, and make for a great out of home canvas for advertising partners."
